It is a 3 wheeled vehicle with a motor for each front wheel. A third motor is used to swing a light sensor so it can distinguish the black line from the white field and follow it.
A sound sensor makes it turn 180º with a whistle.

one of our assignment projects for microcontroller subject, the line following robot using PIC16F877A as the microcontroller. I used PID which was a mistake because the tyre didn’t have enough grip so it would veer off course even if PID was in play in cornering.
