Who else is sick of the humanoid on Mars questions?

It’s a freakin’ rock! If it was even vaguely suspected to be a living thing, it would be plastered on newspaper headlines all over the world. Why is common sense so rare?

I was shocked to see an ABC news clip about the rock. They actually led the viewer to believe that the rock was a creature. The report basically stated that the object ‘could be bigfoot or could be a person or could be a shadow…or it could just be a rock. We’ll let you decide.’

This is irresponsible journalism. And from a major news network.

Unacceptable media hype.

This is the world we live in.

Is it any wonder what the consequences are on the intellect of the general public who is exposed to this type of trash journalism? I stopped watching television news years ago.

Where is the common sense among those who others rely on for information? Are we now to assume that every network news story is nothing more than a sick April fool’s joke?

I am, it’s just a rock!!!!!! Scientists have even proven it’s a rock. Besides, only an idiot can think it’s a humanoid. You can’t even live on Mars. WTH people.

Common sense is rare because we all think we have it and can only spot the lack of it in others. Not condusive to growing a nice garden of common sense in ourselves.

The Mars rock will die down soon and be replaced by something equally inane. Hope it’s something you believe in and find more interesting than the Mars picture.

I’m sick of it… People *want* to believe there’s something out there – I guess because there’s not enough for them to be afraid of here.

You might ask why is the tabloid press so popular. The average human is not very smart.

The story goes that President Eisenhower was (briefly) surprised to learn that half the US population was below average intelligence, this goes for any country of course.

Media people know this as well as anyone. They sell to the dim as well as to the bright.
