if you were to pick a pet humanoid , what anime character would be and what animal?

I would pick Misaki from Junjou romantica, and i think he would make a nice puppy.

I would like Ran from Angel Tales to be a cat, simply because her past life was a fish and it would be funny (or cruel…) seeing her grapple with her identity.
