What are the best apps to get in the Android Market?

Sunday, June 27th, 2010

My Verizon HTC Incredible is coming this week, and I am new to smartphones. What are the best apps to get in the android market?

Everything on this list is free from the android market
Most if not all applications in this list have 4 stars and up.

Applications:

Advance task killer – kill running task easily

Album art grabber – if you cant find album art for some of your music this app is the best.

Apps Organizer – Organize your apps (especially if you have allot on your home screen)

Astro – it’s like a windows explorer. Allows you to look through the directories on the phone and much more (you can also view png files that you email to yourself if you download this)

Barcode scanner – Allows you to easily download apps from the web strait to your droid using a desktop or laptop

Bible (YouVersion) – The best bible app out there. Gives you access to all translations you can think of

Documents to go – allows you to view pdf, word, excel, (and I think PowerPoint) from your droid

Droid light – turns your led flash into a flash light

Google voice – if you have a Google voice account, you can send text messages and call
anyone for free (you cant receive calls for free on your cell phone though)

Missed Call – If you missed a call and didn’t hear it ring, a light will blink showing you that you missed a call or text message

Mixzing lite – allows you to play your music and show the album art even if you don’t have it

Mobile Banking – allows you to check your banking accounts from your phone easy and securely
***My Days – (for women) allows her to enter personal information about her lady stuff

ScreenModeWidget – allow you to keep your screen from sleeping, allow your screen to sleep but when you turn it back on, it’s not locked, or allow it to auto sleep and when you turn your phone back on, its locked (This is a widget)

An even better one than the ScreenModeWidget is ScreenOn – allows you to pick which applications you want the screen to say on for. So say you are using the browser and you don’t want the screen to turn off, then open screen on and select browser and the screen will stay on as long as the browser is open.

Tech Buzz widget – stay up to date with all the latest android news (this is a must have)

iMusic – allows you to listen to almost any music you can think of free. Also allows you to download the music free as well. Just search for your favorite artist and see their music pop up.

Movies – application that tells you when movies are playing and in what theater. You can even order tickets on it. It also gives you a trailer to watch just in case you don’t remember what the movie is about.

Games
Air hockey demo
—Poke a mole
Radiant lite
Labyrinth
HomerunBattle3D
GameBoid Lite
Robo Defense
Raging Thunder 2

Other
Google sky map
Engadget – Keep up to date with the latest technology.
Lookout – Anti virus for android, gives remote wipe if your device is stolen. Also tells you the exact location of your phone if it is lost and it will play a loud siren for you to find it.

It’s a long list, but I hope this helps

How is Republican deficit-spending good to American bottom-line, but Democratic spending bad?

Sunday, June 27th, 2010

Bush spends us in a hole, but his meek little sheep-like followers call it "good"–but a lot of Obama-haters on the board are claiming that we are ‘doomed’ because Obama decided (at last) to start tackling our spending problems by applying a certain level of intelligence and seriousness to the issues at hand?

(Which is more than can be said of the previous President.)

Ohh-kay…

So how is a Democrat spending our tax-dollars any *different* from a Republican’s?

Both are bad but the real question is if the Republicans caused this economy with over spending (not really true) Then the Democrats also over spending is going to fix it something doesn’t seem right with that logic.

Ever notice that when Kurama is a little fox he has 4 tails but when he’s the humanoid Youko he has 1?

Sunday, June 27th, 2010

Why is it that humanoid Youko Kurama only has 1 tail when his little fox form has 4? I haven’t been able to figure this out and I am a divot YYH fan.

Pretty simple…like all great Demons, they look human and in that form they have to seal up some of their energy…well at lease in some anime…

In YYH you notice that most of the strong demons look human while the lower class look like monsters….so when he was a lower class demon he looked more like a monster and when he became strong enough he adapted the human form which made him look..well..human (and cuter!) I actually just started YYH because my anime addiction just ended (FMA omg ch 108 was EPIC) and I thought might as well watch a classic…

I would hate to fan girl all over this answer but…I think Kurama looks so much sexier in his Shuichi form! OK I’m done ;3

Should I buy Robosapien?

Sunday, June 27th, 2010

I’ve got 50 bucks and want to buy something cool should I buy Robosapein? If not what else could I buy with 50 bucks?

as you’ve already seen from previous answers everyone tells you not to buy it, so don’t buy it ,lol . for $50 you can buy very cool toys from amazon for example , amazon has a toy and game store http://astore.amazon.com/toygame-20 where you find hundreds of cool things and many are $50 or less , so go have a look and choose something that you really want.

What is your favourite application for android on nexus one?

Wednesday, June 23rd, 2010

Just as question asks, what is your favourite application paid or free that you use on a regular basis? It could be on nexus or another android phone.

ASTRO is very useful but an amazing application is Shazam (both are free).

Has Depends introduced a new line of adult diapers called the Crissy Matthews Extra Absorbent Diaper?

Wednesday, June 23rd, 2010

They gave their prototype to Crissy to use for soaking up the extra moisture that he gets when he sees Obama and gets all tingly, and are now rolling it out nationwide for all followers of Comrade Obama. Is this true?

Not sure but I think Kleenex have may invented a super absorbent Kleenex to suck up all his tears and he cries in joy over seeing this so called President
