Scariest Robot Video ever!
For decades, hundreds of thousands of troops have been massed along the 155-mile demilitarized zone (DMZ) between North and South Korea. It’s a dull, dirty, and dangerous job—in other words, perfect for robots. Recently, South Korea purchased a Samsung-built static machine gun sentry. Once mounted, the robo-gun uses cameras and pattern-recognition software to autonomously classify vehicles, trees, and human beings at up to 1.25 miles—and then shoot them with a built-in, 5.5mm machine gun. Incidentally, the DMZ is 2.5 miles wide. [List continues after the most frightening product-pitch video you’ll ever watch, below…]
March of the Robots
It is the face of cutting edge robotics, a vision of where consumer robotics is hoping to reach and itself a prototype for the types of machine that could one day be in our homes.
“We are continuing our research in hopes that we can one day introduce Asimo (a Robot made by Honda) into a home, or a hospital or maybe someday it will be fighting fires.”
Robots and Biology - the Beginning
“The Swiss and French scientists made the robot, named Salamandra Robotica, swim in Lake Geneva and crawl on the lake shore. They also said the robot demonstrated that biology offers good ideas for robot design.”
Sounds like Robots are being developed with more and more biological features…. hmmmmm, I wonder what this will lead to??

Robot Ethics Charter
“The so-called Robot Ethics Charter, as proposed by the South Korean Government, will reflect the three laws of robotics as put forward in the 1940s by science fiction writer, Isaac Asimov.
Those laws demand that robots not injure humans, that robots obey humans, and that robots protect themselves provided this doesn’t conflict with other laws.
The South Koreans say the time when robots think for themselves is in the not too distant future.”
Duhhh!
Killer Robots!!
JERUSALEM (Reuters) — An Israeli defense firm on Thursday unveiled a portable robot billed as being capable of entering most combat zones alone and engaging enemies with an onboard armory that includes a machine-pistol and grenades.
